Mount Leuser


Mount Leuser is located in Aceh, Sumatera Island, Indonesia. It is one of the mountains which are included in the Bukit Barisan mountain range in Sumatera, which has a peak of 3,404 meters above sea level. This mountain has a forest that is still very natural consisting of old forest with large trees, moss forest in the highlands as well as open areas with typical shrubs of the mountains.
Mount Leuser has its own challenges that are quite popular among local and foreign climbers. A hiking trail to the summit of Mount Leuser is quite long and exhausting. It takes about 9-10 days to reach its peak within about 51 Kilometers from the starting point of Kedah climbing track. On the way, the climber must go through four mountain peaks, down the long hill to cross the valleys. Can you imagine what kind of obstacles to overcome?



Mount Leuser has a quite long track so it is necessary to have a good preparation to be able to reach the top.
